Lives and works in Paris – France

Also known as Slim, Slown is a photographer whose practice moves between surrealism, pop imagery, and photo-fiction. After studying in Canada, he returned to Tunisia and exhibited in multiple contexts between Tunis and Paris, including projects such as Directors in Portraits and a solo show My Tunisianity (Institut Français de Tunisie, 2015). He also directed two short films (Time, Death and Me; A Sequel Without a Sequel), screened and nominated in festivals across Tunis, Algiers, Nice, and Paris. Based in Paris since 2016, he has shown work at Galerie La LaLand (Photocracy) and in group exhibitions including the Institut du Monde Arabe and Galerie Arnaud Bard.
