Swiss-Chilean Visual Artist
Lives and works between Switzerland and France.

Born in Switzerland and drawing on both Swiss and Chilean heritage, Yann Jaime Braun develops a practice that explores the relationship between architecture, urban landscapes, and human presence. Shaped by an interdisciplinary background spanning science, art history, and contemporary artistic practice, his work reflects on the transformations of the built environment and the ways we inhabit it.

Having studied at ETH Zurich and the École du Louvre, Braun brings together architectural precision and painterly sensitivity. His carefully structured compositions investigate geometry, light, and spatial perception, revealing both the monumentality of contemporary architecture and its underlying fragility in the face of time and social change.

Through refined and meticulously composed paintings, he creates urban landscapes in which human figures remain discreet—or disappear altogether—allowing architecture itself to become the central subject. His series Tours Nuagesextends this exploration by examining the verticality of modern cities and the evolving experience of urban space.

In 2023, Yann Jaime Braun received the Special Prize at the 8th Gran Premio Arte Contemporanea in Milan. His work offers a thoughtful dialogue between painting and architecture, inviting viewers to reconsider the emotional and symbolic dimensions of contemporary landscapes.
