Karima Ben Cheikh
Tunisian-Moroccan artist Karima Ben Cheikh transitioned from graphic design to a full-fledged pictorial practice, exploring memory and imagination.
Since 2022, oil painting has become her primary medium, combining the strength of matter with the poetry of form.
She successively lays down layers of paint, covers them, scratches them, and reopens them. This repeated gesture shapes a surface traversed by strata — like a memory in the making.
Traces of the past overlap, composing an intimate landscape of memories and reminiscences.
